Design, food, and travel! These are the driving influences that help me create.
I am a creative. Creating beautiful things is a passion of mine. There is always an idea, new picture, or some design running through my head. I can’t help but imagine a concept before it becomes a reality. Japan has rich and colorful culture. Their manga style, and intricate details and beauty in designs were the influences during my childhood that have contributed to my artistic practices that have made me the artist I am today. Inspired by color and the beauty around me. I have always been drawn to art and design. Growing up I was constantly in my sketch book or having some kind of paint project spread out on the floor.
Japanese food lover! Sushi, gyoza, hot pot, katsu don and ramen are just some of the pleasures that await the Japanese food connoisseur. To love Japanese food is to love subtlety, harmony and umami, and then wash it all down with green tea. I have read many stories about Japanese cuisine before I visited Japan. The food is indeed amazing, and the Japanese are magicians when it comes to food. They will make something straightforward into something beautiful. I have taken on the challenge to recreate some of my favorite Japanese dishes which you can enjoy on my blog.
I love to travel. The different settings can help you discover and consider fresh ideas you hadn’t thought of before. It inspires creativity! You’ll come home with different notions and possibilities. By being exposed to new places, people and cultures, you’ll develop a wider world view. I have traveled to many captivating places which I am delighted to share with you in hopes you get some inspiration too!
